# GB/T 7714 Citation Generator

Generate references in GB/T 7714—2015 (China's national bibliographic standard, 信息与文献 参考文献著录规则) from any supported identifier: DOI, PMID, PMCID, ISBN, arXiv ID, ISSN, ADS bibcode, or scholarly URL. Output includes the document type codes ([J], [M], [J/OL]), capitalised surnames, and 等 / et al. handling, with a 中文/English locale toggle.

## What this tool does

Takes one identifier per line and returns a numbered GB/T 7714—2015 (顺序编码制) reference list. Metadata is fetched live from the registry each identifier belongs to (Crossref, PubMed, arXiv, OpenLibrary, NASA ADS), so the reference matches what the publisher has on file.

## How to use

1. Open [the tool](https://scholar-sidekick.com/tools/gb-t-7714-citation-generator).
2. Paste the identifiers into the input, one per line.
3. Pick the locale — 中文 (等) or English (et al.).
4. Copy the numbered reference list into your thesis or manuscript.

## Programmatic access

The same formatting is exposed via [`POST /api/format`](https://scholar-sidekick.com/docs) with `style: "gb7714"` (alias for `china-national-standard-gb-t-7714-2015-numeric`) and `lang: "zh-CN"`. The author-date variant (`…-author-date`) and the 2025 revision (`…-2025-numeric`) are available via their full CSL ids. Anonymous access is free with a published rate limit.

## LaTeX and Zotero

For LaTeX, the `gbt7714` CTAN package (BibTeX) or `biblatex-gb7714-2015` implements the standard — build the `.bib` file with the [DOI to BibTeX converter](https://scholar-sidekick.com/tools/doi-to-bibtex). For Zotero, install a GB/T 7714 style from the [Zotero Style Repository](https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=7714).
